Bradford is connected to the national motorway network via the M62 and the M606.

If you are travelling from the south, east or west of Bradford, you will probably find it most convenient to use the M62 and the M606. If you are arriving from the north-west you will probably use the A629/A650 via Skipton and Keighley. From the north-east it is most convenient to use the A1 or A19, and reach Bradford via the A59 and then the A658 south of Harrogate.
Many road signs on the major routes into the city have the route to the University of Bradford indicated by a mortarboard symbol. Ashgrove is just opposite Chesham Building in the University.
Travel by Train
There are two train stations in Bradford – Bradford Interchange and Forster Square train station.
Bradford Interchange has extensive rail links, though many involve changing at Leeds.

To get to BCCC from the Bradford Interchange
Walking takes about 15 minutes, though it is partly uphill. Come out of the Interchange, down the hill, across the crossing and turn left in front of City Hall and walk in front of the fountain and the Police Station. Cross the road and walk left towards the glass front of the Alhambra Theatre, turning immediately right, before reaching the Theatre, up Great Horton Road. You can find Ashgrove on your left when you reach the University of Bradford.
Buses 610/611/612/613/614 leave for Ashgrove from Channing Way, outside City Hall, a short walk from the Interchange; at regular intervals during the day, and pass the main campus of the University of Bradford about 5 minutes later. Ashgrove is just opposite Chesham Building in the Univeristy. If you have luggage, you can take a taxi. Bradford taxis are not expensive, and the cost should be around 3 pounds.
To get to BCCC from Forster Square train station
From Forster Square station, walk along past the “Fibres” sculpture out onto Cheapside, then along Market Street to City Hall. From there walk in front of the fountain and the Police Station. Cross the road and walk left towards the glass front of the Alhambra Theatre. Turn right up Great Horton Road just before the Alhambra Theatre. Ashgrove is about 300 metres up this hill, opposite University of Bradford.
Taxis are available from Forster Square, and cost around 3.50 pounds to get to Ashgrove.

Travel by Air
There are direct regular air services into Leeds/Bradford International Airport, 7 miles (11 km) from Ashgrove, from London Heathrow, and also from Belfast, Dublin, and the Isle of Man. International connections can be made through London Heathrow or Amsterdam, Brussels or Paris. Bradford can be reached from the Airport by taxi at a cost of about 15 pounds.
Many internal and international flights can also be made into Manchester Airport, 50 miles (80 km) south-west of Bradford.
